Roller Coaster Project (3 weeks):
20% - BUILD IT as a Group!
Create a working model of a roller coaster using a marble as your roller coaster car. Your model must contain at least 1 loop, 2 curves, 1 spiral, and a stopping point for the marble. The marble’s journey must take at least 10 seconds.
20% - RESEARCH IT as a Group!
Create a schematic diagram with notations describing how studied PHYSICS concepts are exemplified as the marble travels through the roller coaster.
20% - SELL IT as a Group!
Create a commercial (YouTube video) to sell your design to the public. All members must participate and the video must not exceed 2 minutes.
40% - PRESENT IT as a Group!
Present your understanding of Physics concepts as they relate to a marble traveling through a roller coaster loop. Your classmates and teacher will be conducting all interviews.
